Precision metrology can be performed using a combination of software and hardware tools, but can require a great deal of integration . Our customer asked us to develop a micron-level imaging system with a robotic hole drilling laser machine. The goal was to automatically locate specific features on the part and then transfer the hole position information to the robot controller for final positioning.
